Aw man, so weโre coming to the end of peak cold and flu season. Hopefully, youโre going into March healthy ๐
ย
ย Sore throats have always been the first sign for me that I am getting sick. They hurt, they suck and sometimes take days to go away ๐ข
ย
ย This method may sound crazy and painful but please trust me it works other than any cough drop Iโve ever had โ๐ป
ย
ย Cayenne pepper gargle. Honey is excellent too, especially Manuka honey with high UMF ratings which I could do a whole other post about ๐ฏ
ย
ย What I usually do at the first sign of a sore throat is gargle with cayenne. I use about a 1/4 teaspoon of regular plain ole McCormick's cayenne powder in a shot glass amount of water. Then I gargle for seconds. Depending on how brave I am I either spit it out or swallow ๐
ย
ย Chase it with a spoonful of honey and repeat whenever your throat feels sore. I say that because usually after the gargle your soreness will subside which is incredible
ย
ย I also really really love this brand of sore throat lozenges. They're a company out of Massachusetts dedicated to making cayenne and honey lozenges. They now have a new elderberry one too ๐
