Put on your favorite concert tee and turn the volume up to 11 as we ring in the winter solstice with 108 sun salutations to the tune of doom metals sweet droning tones.

I cannot think of a better way to celebrate this season of death and rebirth. 

From the Holly and Oak Kings to the witch goddess Frau Perchta and the Krampus, no festival season has invoked so much fear and joy in the same stroke. Firelight and candlelight, candy canes and drifting snow the season of yuletide is here.

Each culture has traditions that are observed around the Yule season, many of which have some of their roots in older, more sacred pagan or folk traditions. From Christmas trees to Yule logs, cookies, mistletoe, carols, and celebrations, there is no shortage of ways to ring in the end of the calendar year and the eve of the birth of the new one.

Here at Fourth Dimension Fitness, we like to ring in this new year with a little bit of headbanging and sun salutations.
